/blogosphere, live/

There are about six events a week that make me wish I lived in NYC or Toronto, but this is the first in awhile to have me wishing I called L.A. home.

Rhizome.LA is hosting "Live From The Blogosphere!", a February 15 symposium on blogging that is being held at the Electronic Orphanage in Los Angeles. The panel discussion begins at 7:30 pm.

Panelists include: Mark Frauenfelder, Heather Havrilesky, Evan Williams, Susannah Breslin, Doc Searls, Tony Pierce.

According to the press materials, "the panel will discuss the birth of blogging, the emergent tension between blogs and traditional journalism, innovations in blogging such as video-blogging, audio-blogging, and mobile-blogging, the shifting roles of race and gender in the Blogosphere, the state of the blog economy, and the way blogs may be reshaping contemporary media."

There will be WiFi access at the event, and realtime blogging is encouraged. So I may be there, in blog if not in body.
